Jerry passed away on November 11, 2019 at the age of 84. He leaves behind his wife Colleen of Calgary; son Nick (Michelle) of Port Alberni; sister Verna (Terry) of Port Alberni; stepchildren Maureen (Dave) of Qualicum, Bruce (Cyndi) of Port Alberni, Heather (Joe) of Calgary and Cheryl of Colorado; nieces and nephews Leah (Rick) of Port Alberni and Colby (Kay) of Nanaimo; and cousin Olga of Port Alberni.
Jerry's favorite sport was baseball and he played and pitched for the Recorders. Jerry was a resident at Echo Village for many years. He was well known for his 36 plus years of service driving taxi at United Cabs. Jerry will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place with an inurnment at a later date at Alberni Valley Memorial Gardens. Special thanks to Dr. Fraser for his continuous care of Jerry. No service by request.
