With sad hearts but happy memories, we advise of the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother. Predeceased by husband Philip. Survived by her children Carmen, Lianne (Ernie), Cecile (Ken), Leo, Phyllis, and Della. Grandchildren Jonathan (Cori), Matthew, Geoff (Diane), Cameron, Kaitlyn, Jamie (Carlos), Cherish, Kayla, Sabrina, Tanya, Kristen (Craig), and Jared. Great-grandchildren Kierra, Violet, Chris, Dan, Indiya, Caleb, Ivey, Alexis, and Nicole. Sister Marguerite (Ben) extended family,
nieces, nephews and friends.
Born in Leoville, Sask to Donat and Madona, she moved to Port Alberni in 1951. There she met Philip, and they married in 1955. They moved to Northern Alberta, settling in Sunset House to raise their family. They moved back to Port Alberni in the late 60's, then to Coombs from 1971 to 1972. After Dads passing in 1972, Mom moved the family back to Port Alberni to raise her 6 children on her own. A self-taught cake decorator, she was famous for making many family birthday and wedding cakes.
Mom worked for Woodward's as a baker and cake decorator till the late 70's. She went back to school and obtained her dream job in office admin, until she retired from Fisheries in 1997. In her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, camping, and traveling.
