On Wednesday, Jan. 9th, Jane left us to be with her beloved husband, Dick vandenBroek. Mom passed away surrounded by her loving family in her home at Echo Village.

Predeceased by her husband, Dick, sister Hon (Sandy) and her parents, Barend and Neeltje. Survived by her loving children, Sylvia (Jim), Rick (Louise), Deb, Kathy (Steve), Brenda (Rob), Cheryl, Angie (Bill), Nicole (Gary), and her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jane is also survived by her brother Jack (Deanna), Bob (Rosie), Joe (Janis) and Het.

Jane had come to Canada from Holland in 1952. She spent her years working first at The Plywood's, Bronson's and following that at Kmart. All our friends will never forget those famous Kmart french fries she made and piled high on their plates! Mom loved playing bingo and enjoying the casino in her spare time. She managed it all, work, play and caring for 8 kids. Mom had a real soft spot for babies. She was always caring, had a great sense of humour and always found the good side of people, never holding a grudge.

Mom fought a very tough battle with Parkinsons for years and in her final days suffered from pneumonia and other complications. The staff at Echo Village took great care of her as well as us as we struggled through those final days.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Parkinsons Foundation.

You will never be forgotten mom, we love and miss you terribly.
