Our family tree has lost a limb with the sudden passing of our beloved Jason Preston Prentice. Jason grew up in the Cowichan Valley and graduated from Cowichan Senior High School. An awesome, devoted dad and husband, he is survived by his wife Trina, daughters Rowan and Piper, mom Honey & wife Kathy, brother Morgan & wife Deborah, stepmom Marilyn & husband Jim, Trina's parents Eva & Gary, and step siblings Brett, Angie and Derek, and many cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and coworkers. Jason passed away suddenly, taking his life after a long-hidden struggle with depression. It was a beautiful spring day, like many others before and since, but the depression he faced overwhelmed him that day, and it would not let him see past the short-term challenges he faced to what would have continued to be a long, rewarding life filled with family and friends. He is fondly remembered and missed by friends and family. A Celebration of Life will be held at Duncan Community Lodge, 2244 Moose Road, Duncan BC, V9L 5C2 June 7th at 1 pm.
