Jane V. Ferguson

November 4, 2018

Jane was born and raised on a farm in Spruce Grove, Alberta. She graduated out of high school and joined the Air Force until she took her leave in 1953. She was trained as a key punch operator in the Air Force and continued with that job as a civilian at the # 7 Supply Depot, just north of Edmonton until 1969. She moved with her family to Port Coquitlam in 1969 and worked at Simon Fraser University. In 1972 the adventure took her to Nanaimo. While on the Island she lived in Nanaimo, a logging camp outside of Tofino, Cedar and in Campbell River. She finally settled back in Cedar where she spent the last 40 years. She enjoyed bowling until arthritis put her game in the gutter and her favourite armchair sport was curling. She has been a member of the Catholic Women's League for many years and always looked forward to the meetings and fellowship with the ladies. She worked hard and lived life to the fullest.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Patti-Anne, brother Dave (Hilary) Callihoo, Julia Haggith, sister-in-law Fran Callihoo and many nieces and nephews, and former partener Ron Ferguson. She is predeceased by parents Clothilda Marie (nee Hodgson) & Victor Vital Callihoo, brothers; Deo & (Bernice), George, Paul & (Octavie), Walter & (Shirley) and Louie; sisters; Lucy and (Norm) Cooper, Anne & (George) Goerz, Theresa & (Jack) VanOs, Olive and (Walter) Matthews; sister-in-law Irene Callihoo, nephews Gary and Butch, nieces; Karen, Carolyn, and Maureen.

Jane will be missed by family and friends.
