It is with profound sadness the family of Jane (Jean) Jorgensen announce her passing on August 28, 2019 at Abbotsford, BC. Jean was predeceased by her husband Loren and her sister Ina Shrum. Survived by her daughter Mary (Ross), son Robert (Janice), granddaughters Melissa (Jason), and Lindsay (Andres), great grandsons Ethan and Liam. She is also survived by her sisters May McDermott and Joanne Sorin, many nieces, nephews and extended family. J
ean was born in New Westminster, BC and moved to Port Alberni when she was a young adult. She met and married Loren Jorgensen where they raised their two children and made many life-long friendships. Jean moved to Abbotsford in 2013 so she could be closer to her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Nanaimo at a later. Graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Port Alberni at a later date. Animals were Jean's passion in life. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA would be appreciated.
