It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Forsley on October 29th after a very brief battle with cancer.
He is predeceased by his father Joseph (1995), mother Edith (2014), and brother Allan (2012).
im leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years Arlene; daughters Shannon (Trevor) and Kelly; his precious grandchildren: Birkley, Gavin, Reese, and Addison, as well as extended family and close friends. He also has one sister (Donnalene) living in Duncan.
Jim's family moved to Vancouver Island from Winnipeg when he was an infant eventually settling in Duncan where he went to school, worked, and raised his own family. He was a welder/fabricator by trade and enjoyed creating little projects at home, taking on challenges to fix things, and just tinkering in his little workshop. After retirement, Jim and Arlene enjoyed travelling to several countries in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean as well as many trips to Mexico, Cuba and Alaska, but his favourite passion was time spent with family. Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather will be deeply missed.
