It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our loving father, James Kenneth Charles Kennedy. He had just celebrated his 90th birthday with family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Helen, his children, Gordon (Janis), Bruce (Gail), Donna (Chet), Kenneth (Judy), (Sharon), Diane, 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren (with one on the way), his brothers Wayne (Shirley), Robert (Irene), many nieces, nephews and those who adopted him as grandpa.
Jim was predeceased by his Father Kenneth “Scotty”, Mother Jeannette, Sister Audrey, Son Garry and Son-in-Laws Jack and Harley.
Jim was born in Calgary, Alberta on March 10, 1928 and passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side March 19, 2018 at Nanaimo Senior Village.
Dad had a very diverse work career that included tow truck driving, long-haul trucking, and off highway logging truck driver.
He loved playing the guitar, singing, fishing, and was the family’s wine master……but most of all…. Dad loved time with his family and friends.
He will be greatly missed, but NEVER forgotten and always in our hearts.
We love you Dad
