Mom was born in Princeton B.C, raised in Bamberton and settled in Cobble Hill.  She is predeased by her husband, Don and survived by her kids, Janice (Philip), Gail (Ron) and Tommy (Chrystal). She was 'Nana' to a herd of grandkids and great grandkids.

Mom was always on the go, wearing many hats. She was an avid sewer, 4-H Leader, Kerry Park curler and 'soccer mom' before it became popular.  Her house was immaculate, gardens brilliant and sheep tended to.  Her potato salad and homemade raspberry jam were her crowning glory.

As for her wee stature, you'd be a fool to underestimate her as she could hold her own and then some. There was no 'grey' with her. It was black or white. She liked you or she didn't. As her kids, we are still trying to figure out which one it was for us.

A private family burial will take place on Saturday, March 17 at 11 a.m at the James Dougan Memorial Cemetery.  Everyone is welcome to a tea that will follow, at the Kerry Park Curling Club from 1 - 4 p.m.  Bring your stories not your tears.

A huge 'thank-you' to the staff at Cairnsmore Place for their top-notch support and compassion.

Your condolences will be approved within one business day. You will need a valid Facebook account. Please email us if you have any questions.
