It is with deepest sadness that we announce that Isabel Murray, 100, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2023, surrounded by family.
Isabel and her beloved late husband Tom settled in London, Ontario to raise their three children – Elizabeth (predeceased), Colleen, and William.
In 1996 Isabel moved to Nanaimo, BC and lived a busy life spending time with family and friends.
Isabel was a devoted member of the Anglican Church, and it was at St. Paul’s in Nanaimo that she met many of her closest friends who would go on to be dear to her throughout her life.
Isabel was a long-serving member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and her 60 years of dedicated service was honoured in 2020 by the Crescent Chapter in Nanaimo.
Isabel leaves to cherish her memory two children, Colleen (Michael), and William, three grandsons, Robert, David (Alexandra), and James (Alexandra), and two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Evelyn.
A celebration honouring the life of Isabel will be held at Morpeth Masonic Hall (620 Morpeth Ave, Nanaimo) on November 20 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., with refreshments to follow.
