In loving memory ~
Irene was born in Bashaw, Alberta on March 20, 1931 and was promoted to Heaven on October 20, 2022. Welcoming her was husband, Bob Clark, parents, Reverend George and Allentina Mueller, seven siblings, and grandson, Stephen. Irene was the fifth of eleven children who
remained close in faith and love. She worked for the Hotel Vancouver, then Kelly Douglas when the first of her four children was born. Moving from a Lantzville coal miner's cabin to Nanaimo, she enjoyed hosting large holiday gatherings. Whether cooking, baking or painting; her
resourceful creativity shone through. Irene's artistic talent flourished at Malaspina College. After raising children she worked at the hospital for 12 years. In 1981, Irene was swept off her feet by her dearest Bobby. They were happily married for 24 years until his passing.
Our Mom enjoyed gardening, crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, tole painting, sewing and crocheting for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
After rededicating her life to the Lord over 40 years ago, Irene was an active member of Nanaimo Full Gospel Assembly and then Nazarene Church. She and Bob led Sunset Glow Seniors Ministry, hymn singing at Travellers Lodge and Dufferin Place.
Irene's legacy is Christian faithfulness and love of family. She will be forever remembered by her children Dennis (Tara); Linda (Dale); Robert; Margie (Marc); 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings; the Fulton's and Clark's.
