Inglis passed away peacefully at Nanaimo Seniors Village on November 11, 2017. He was born in Vancouver in 1925, the son of Irma and Willard Edwards.

His older sister Lorna predeceased him. He fulfilled his youthful dream, when he graduated in 1949 from UBC as a mechanical engineer.

Inglis devoted his professional engineering career to improving the effectiveness of Canadian industry in the fields of quality control and materials handling.

He and his wife Jean were married for 66 years and ultimately retired to Nanaimo, B.C.

He was the proud father of three daughters, Nancy, Sheila, Barbara (Bill) and son Brent (Christine). Inglis was a devoted grandfather to Andrew, Ryan, Sydney, Caiden and Kyla.

He was kind and caring to all who knew him and will be sadly missed.
