In loving memory ~
My mum, Ingeborg Shaw, passed away peacefully in Nanaimo Senior Village on March 16. She was 95 years old and she is survived by her son William Shaw.
When we first moved to Nanaimo in 1966, she and my father joined the travelling square dancing group. They met many lifelong friends. She joined the German choir in 1975, and remained a member ever since. She loved the choir and their group and travelled around BC and into Washington State to perform at music festivals. She loved gardening and spent many hours in her garden planting vegetables and looking after her many flowers.
Her house was a floral garden with bird feeders that attracted many birds, her favorite being the hummingbird. Her favorite flower was a variety of red roses which I placed a small bouquet on her grave. She loved life and her family, especially her grandkids.
We placed her urn next to my father in Bowen cemetery. Many thanks to staff at First Memorial Funeral Services.
She will be missed but not forgotten.
