In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our sweet mother Melice. She passed away in the afternoon on November 9 at the age of 91. Mom had 7 children leaving behind 6, Bruce (Natalie), Carla, Crystal (George), Siveena ( Charlie), Corey, and Dilonnie (Sherry). Mom was pre-deceased by her grandson Shane Day in 2006, husband Hunter in 2014, grandson Devin Babcock in 2023 and son Darcy in 2024. She also left behind 17 Grandchildren, 22 Great- grandchildren and 1 Great-great grandchild. Mom had 3 sisters and 2 brothers, leaving behind Ari Maki, Miriam Green and Joyce Nelson also many nieces, nephews and 3 sister in laws. Also pre-deceased by her brother and sister in law Edward and Sheila Maki, sister and brother in law Helen and Mike Blower, mother and father Heddi and Arvo Maki, sister in law Ingrid Maki and 3 nephews Lorne Green, Raymond Nelson and Robert Maki. Mom will be missed.
There will be a celebration of life on November 30, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall 1581 Dingwall Rd Courtenay BC at 2:00 pm.
