In Loving Memory~
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Dear father Ian Herbert Edward Reeve on Wednesday, 15 December 2021 at the Age of 86 in Courtenay, BC with family by his side.
He was pre deceased by his loving wife Shirley of 54 years and on the date of his passing would of been their 65th Wedding Anniversary and he went to celebrate it with her.
He leaves behind a large family of kids; Gary Reeve (Lisa), Chris Rainey (Jim), Bob Reeve, Rona Pollock (Mike) and many grand children and great grandchildren.
Ian joined the Navy in 1954 and retired in 1964. After that he worked at many different places and company's over the years to follow. Dad spent most of his time in Vancouver and in Victoria. After the passing of Shirley, Ian soon decided to move north to Courtenay and into Casa Loma Retirement Village, where he soon got the nickname of Mr. T (trouble), making many new friends and was known for his story telling abilities. He will be sadly missed by all the had the opportunity to meet and know him.
At this time there will be no service, but one will be held at a later date. At this time raise a glass of Scotch and remember him.
We would like to thank the staff at the Comox Valley Hospital who made sure Dad was comfortable in his last few days, and to all the staff at Casa Loma that looked after Dad over the many years he was there.
