With a heavy heart the family of Hubert Josef Mersch announce his passing at the North Island Hospital, Comox Valley on Dec. 8, 2018. He was predeceased by his parents Martha and Johannis Mersch, his three brothers, and wife Elisabeth. Hubert is survived by his loving partner Ruth Vehlow, daughter Barb (Ken) Hammer; grandchildren Michael Hammer (Laura) and Jeff Hammer, and 4 great grandchildren.
Hubert was a member of the Berwick Seniors Choir and volunteered at the Glacierview Nursing Home. He was a poet, historian and a lover of music.
