Born April 9, 1944 in Neepawa, Manitoba passed away quietly November 30, 2017 in Osoyoos BC.

Howard is predeceased by his Wife Doneen (Dawn) McConnell nee Mellson and daughter Dawn Classy.

Howard was always a very positive and encouraging man who spent the majority of his working years with Canada Safeway in both Victoria and Burnaby.

Howard and Dawn raised their children in Cobble Hill, later relocating to South Surrey before enjoying several years of retirement living along the Kettle River in Midway BC where they were very popular with friends and neighbours. Their home was a destination on many peoples travel itinerary, a warm welcome,  great meal and lots of laughs were always on the menu.

Howard and Dawn took great pleasure in travelling to Arizona and Mexico during the winter months starting in 1994 cultivating many strong friendships both north and south of the border.

Howard found life's pleasures in road trips, vintage automobiles, and a cold beer in the sunshine. He always had a smile or a joke to share but more than that his supportive nature, warmth and patience radiated from within. His greatest rewards came from time spent with his many close friends and family. He will be greatly missed.

Howard is survived by his children Denika Osmond, Jason McConnell, Lisa Furlong and grandchildren Ashley, Matthew, Amy and Blake.

A memorial and Tribute to Howard will be held at Kerry Park Lounge Saturday, February 3 from 2-4 pm.
