Hortense Agnes “Bunty” Bentley

Hortense Agnes Bentley

Hortense Agnes Bentley, known to friends as “Bunty” was a long-time resident of Qualicum Beach, and died on October 26, 2017 at The Gardens assisted living centre.

She was born in Great Britain in 1923. A war bride, she married the love of her life, Donald Rogers Bentley, who would take her to Canada to raise a family.

Bunty, a member of so many charitable organizations and services, was elegant, humourous, loved good food, walking her beloved dog, and always a wealth of knowledge on gardening. She was a member of St. Francis In The Woods while in West Vancouver and joined St Marks when she moved to Qualicum Beach.

Bunty is survived by her only son, Peter M. Bentley, and daughter, Lesley C. Ledger.
