It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Hildegard Giller announces her passing after a brief battle with cancer.

Hilda was born in Kutno, Poland, and came to Canada at the age of seven. Hilda met her husband, Erwin and was married in 1959, and enjoyed 55 years together before his passing in 2014.

Hilda lived in Vancouver, Maple Ridge, Cranbrook and Langely, making lots of friends and being involved with various groups in the communities along the way.

Hilda and her husband lived in the Comox Valley (Courtenay ) for the last 16 years. Hilda loved good food and socializing; she enjoyed the outdoors, often tramping through the woods picking wild mushrooms with family and friends.

Hilda had a sense of humour, that was sharp and witty.

Anyone that had the privilege of knowing Hilda, knew what a kind, loving and genuine woman she was.

Hilda's life and memories will always be remembered by her 3 children, Jenine, Cathy and Jim, her 6 grandchildren and her 4 great grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr.Neufeld and his office as well to the Comox Team from Community Health Services for the wonderful service and loving care that they provided.

She will be in our hearts forever.

There will be no funeral service at her request.

Rest in peace Momma.
