Helen Lenore Watson (Lenore) passed away peacefully on Friday, March 30, 2018 in Comox, with her children by her side. Lenore was born in Assiniboia, SK to parents Marion and Kirby Carter. She was raised on their farm with her five brothers and sisters. 

As a young woman, Lenore moved to Vancouver to study and there met and later married Magnus Watson (Mags) in 1956.  Lenore and Mags lived in Vancouver, Nelson, BC and finally Comox BC. They had two children, Kenneth and Anna Lynn. While raising her children, Lenore also worked as an Elementary School Stenographer, retiring in 1983.

She loved her family, fishing (with Mags), golfing, swimming, and cards (especially bridge). After Mags' passing Lenore enjoyed travels with her sisters and friends to many exotic locations.

Lenore is predeceased by her husband Magnus Watson; parents Marion and Kirby Carter; brothers Ken Carter, Russell (Mary) Carter; and sisters Joyce (James) Mitchell, Doreen (Marvin) Greensides, Audrey (Phineas) Lowe. 

She is survived by her children, Ken (Erica) Watson and Anna (Ken) Jellie; her grandchildren, Ryan Jellie, Keat Watson, Kyle Gray, and Lisa (Jamie) Arbanas; and her great-grandchuildren, Summer Gray, Avery Arbanas, and Logan Arbanas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Views at St. Joseph's in Comox for the wonderful, compassionate care Lenore received there over the past two years.

A private celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
