Hazel Margaret Behnsen

May 23, 2022

May 11, 1933 - May 23, 2022
In loving memory ~
Born May 11, 1933 to William and Anna Pipe (nee-Blair), passed on May 23, 2022 Victoria Day.
Mother of daughters: Joyce; Susan; Beth; Alaine, and son Billiam (and pre deceased by their father, Chris); grandmother and great grandmother of 14. *also predeceased by her beloved Bryce, and brother Gerald. Survived by sister Irene.
Hazel was raised on Menzies Rd (or better known to Scots as Meensies) on the land (or homestead) of John Blair (grandfather), renowned landscape architect, of Beacon Hill Park.
She loved the land she was raised on (with great respect for her heritage and ancestry) a true lover of the earth; nature; owers; the Ocean & water; and the moon and Stars.
Not only is Hazel re called as a unique and generous soul, keeping her own dresser drawer lled with gifts and cards for all occasions, having commonly remembered the birth dates of those she encountered, even casually, and pleasantly surprising many with her uncanny recall, and proclivity for well timed care and concern, but in fact her special gift for attentiveness and generosity of spirit were so rare and re ned, that she so often went Misunderstood.
With her quirky spirit, insight, and funny sense of humour, she endeared herself to many... "and sometimes not"... Cousin Phyllis of whom she was so fond of kindly referred to her as a "Conundrum"...
Never have I met one so Unique or rare as Hazel was.
And even in her advanced age many were drawn to her. Even the young and old men were always telling me what a "Beauty" she must have been and was...
From Candy Miles - to Blair... Emma & Donna Paul... she cared deeply for you all, who send you on your way...
GOOD NIGHT- SNOW WHITE.
