September 1, 1943 - May 21, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of Harvey announces his passing on May 21, 2022 in Ladysmith, British Columbia. Harvey was born to Henry and Catherine on September 1, 1943 in Kenora, Ontario.
He was predeceased by his brothers Glenn of Dawson Creek, British Columbia and Gary of Kenora, Ontario as well as Wanda, his first wife, and more recently by June Miclash, his step-son John Miclash and his step- son-in-law Russ Percy.
He is survived by his son Harvey Jr. (Dayna), granddaughter Jessica, step- daughter Karen, and step-sons Rodney, Dwight, Frankie and Randy. He is also survived by his grandchildren Anna (Jamie), William, Gord, James, Michael and Kyle; sister-in-law Shirley Cormylo and nieces Glenda and Stephanie of Dawson Creek British Columbia. He will also be missed by numerous great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Harvey was employed by the Kenora Board of Education before moving to British Columbia where he and June participated in a number of business ventures. Harv's main career revolved around residential/commercial painting and, in accordance to his wishes, he was buried in his painter's overalls.
Upon moving to Ladysmith Harv and June became involved in a small church family who remained dedicated to their needs when they both became ill.
Harvey was laid to rest at a family gathering in Ladysmith. Donation in Harvey's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
