December 10, 1937 - August 4, 2021
Harry passed away peacefully at Cairnsmore Place on August 4th, 2021, in the presence of his wife, daughter and niece Tracy. Harry was born on December 10th, 1937 in Saskatoon, SK.
He moved to V.I. in the early 1960's, first to Port Alberni, where his Pulp Mill career began in the Groundwood, later moving to Duncan for the start-up of the Crofton Pulp Mill, also in the Groundwood.
Harry made a career change in 1972, which led to a 4 - year Pipefitter apprenticeship through the Crofton Pulp Mill, a job he loved until his early retirement in 1999.
Harry was the first Head Coach of the Cowichan Timberman Football Team, a Past President of Local #2 PPWC and the local United Way.
He was predeceased by his sister Sharon Johnson, brother Al (aka Skip) and niece Peggy.
He is survived by his wife Ann of 54 years, daughter Carolin, son Mark (Mike) and his beloved grandson Brett, brother-in-law Ron Johnson, nephew Ted, his favourite cousins Bev, Allan and Bill and the Wadsworth extended family.
