Dad farmed in Hilltop, Manitoba and then moved to Minnedosa to take care of his dad. They moved to Victoria in 1957 and tried his hand at commercial fishing. He then got into construction, while in Victoria, where he built many homes including working on UVIC. He came to the valley in 1966 and did a major area of building here including working on St. Joseph's new addition. He moved back to Victoria when the grandkids were born. Dad and Mom moved to Fort St. John in 1975. Dad continued in construction and was Mom's 'Pillar of Strength' in Abundant Life Chapel. Dad went from building structures to crafting incredible furniture and guitars.

In 2002 they moved back to the valley and continued with the church and his cabinetry with more emphasis on guitars. Mom and Dad moved in with Starr and George on October 2017 and left from there to heaven Dad loved his family deeply and enjoyed all the time spent with them; but Jesus was his best friend.

A joint service was held on March 20, 2018 at Northgate Foursquare Church.
