Ushered into the presence of the Lord on December 24, 2020 - Hans Egon Mueller born December 1936 in Gramten Germany - leaves behind his wife Darlene, daughters Debra Mueller, Delores Geiger, son in law Gerry and grandchildren Kaylin & Spencer Godin. Predeceased by wife Esther.
Hans endured life as a refugee child in war torn Europe, arrived in Canada (Kelowna) in 1951, spent his employment years in Prince George and Fort St. James, and in 1999 moved to Parksville for retirement.
Hans loved the Lord - he had a complete attitude of gratitude, a humble, gentle, gracious, hospitable nature that drew many to him. In recent years his favourite travels took him to his coffee meetings at A&W and Tim Hortons with friends, and sometimes could be found in both places in one day.
Hans was a Master Gardener, spending hours in his greenhouse creating beautiful hanging baskets that people vied for. He was a passionate trumpet player, often playing 2 trumpets at once in his earlier years.
Until the COVID shutdown, Hans could be found playing his harmonica and trumpet on the front row of Bowser Island Gospel Centre, a church and people he loved.
The verse that sums up Hans: Philippians 4:8 "whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things!".
The family send thanks to the responding Emergency personnel in Parksville and the NRGH Trauma/ Palliative staff, and the wonderful neighbours for their assistance.
A memorial service will be held when COVID restrictions are lifted. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Comox Valley Crisis Pregnancy Centre, or Erdo ChildCARE Plus (child sponsorship) are appreciated.
