March 24, 1991 - July 15, 2019
Gregory Robert Lumsden passed away from brain cancer on July 15, 2019 at home with his family by his side. Grieving his far-too-early departure from this world are his parents, Rob and Shelley Lumsden, brother Matthew (Kat), grandparents Fran Lumsden and Ted and Marilyn Ridgway, aunts Anne Dietl (Orest), Connie Kirkpatrick (Gerry), Linda Cuch, Joan Lumsden (Kyle), uncle Dale Lumsden, and numerous cousins in BC and Alberta.
Greg was born and raised in Nanaimo, was a good friend to many and a kind-hearted soul who will be missed by all. His friendliness and sense of adventure were contagious. Greg loved the outdoors and spent much of his time with friends exploring the backcountry of Nanaimo and beyond. Fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, dirt biking and golf were among his passions. A happy-go-lucky spirit and sense of humor were his trademarks. Throughout his illness, Greg maintained a positive attitude and accepted his fate with grace and dignity. Greg will forever be close in our thoughts and our hearts.

A celebration of Greg's life for family and friends is scheduled for Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 1 pm at the Nanaimo Golf Club, 2800 Highland Boulevard, Nanaimo, BC. Parking is limited so please plan accordingly.
