It is with heartfelt sadness that we share the sudden passing of a beloved son, brother and uncle. Charles Gregory Armstrong Giles passed away on February 18, 2023 in Coquitlam.
Greg was born in Ottawa on April 9, 1986. He moved with his family to Comox in 1993 where he attended Comox Elementary, Aspen Park and Highland Secondary. Growing up in the Valley, he enjoyed snowboarding, camping, baseball and Tai Kwon Do (where is earned his black belt). Greg resided in Calgary, where he opened his own pipeline inspection company (Bird's Eye Inspection). He enjoyed travelling and target shooting and spending time with family. Greg always made friends everywhere he went and will be remembered for his wit, generosity and loyalty. He will be deeply missed by his parents Janet and Chuck, his sisters; Mary Anne (Ghen) and Heather, and his nephew Parker.
A service will be held on March 18th at 1 p.m. at the Comox Valley Funeral Home, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay, B.C. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Greg's memory would be appreciated.
