Charette, Gratia (Grace Lysne) passed away in Port Alberni surrounded by loving family on Tuesday, Feb 4, 2020 at the age of 67.
Survived by children Star and Roland (Rachel), grandchildren Skye and David; sisters Jackie Bouchard and Denise August; extended family Danny Lysne and friend Noreen. Predeceased by son Jason, son in law Bob Jr, 4 siblings and brother inlaw Albert.
Born and raised on a farm on the prairies, Gratia moved to the Alberni Valley in the late 60's to live with her sisters. Met and married Danny and they started a family. Gratia was a stay at home Mom and involved with her children. She struggled after losing her son, Jason and became a quiet and private person in her later years. She loved walking her dog, Daisy and spending time with Simon her cat. A member of AA she was proudly 8 years sober. One of Gratia's many accomplishments is being able to complete writing her book.
