Mom (Nona) the Dog Nanny was taken from us far too soon as a light snow fell on Dec 1st. Survived by her spouse Harvey, daughter Kelly (Fraser), son Tony (Cheryl), her brother Bob, sister Marilyn and her nieces and nephews. Nona to Joe, Brittany (Blaine), TJ (Alex), Amy, Shane, and Rob; as well as five great- grandchildren whom she loved so much. A past race car driver, strong willed and generous, with a huge heart, she was an excellent cook who loved a gathering. Grace especially loved all her furry friends so much she made it her passion well after retirement from Kiwanis Lodge, to host Doggie barbeques in the summers. Grace was born in Nanaimo and raised in Wellington near her childhood playground of Long Lake. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kerridge and the Eden Gardens staff for their exceptional care for Mom. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Eden Gardens or the SPCA in her name would be appreciated.
