It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gordon after a short battle with cancer.
Gordon was born in the UK, and lived for many of his childhood years on Penny Lane in Liverpool! In the early '60's, Gordon adopted Canada for his forever home, spending time on both coasts before retiring to Vancouver Island.
Gordon worked in food sales in Ontario, but, when not working, he could be found on the golf course, playing a sport he loved and excelled at.
Gordon loved life in Nanaimo, his garden and all the local animals. He was actively involved in retirement with Associated Canadian Travellers, Travellers Lodge Society, The Nanaimo Foundation, the Computer Club, and was also instrumental in the concept of building Eden Gardens.
Gordon will be sadly missed by his wife, Kate, his brother, David in England, his Nanaimo family, Enid, Janice (Gord), Vivienne (Dave) and their children, as well as by his many good friends and neighbours. Sleep well dear man.
