In loving memory ~
Gordon Paul Sebelius passed away on August 25, 2022, at the age of 71, at home in Sooke, BC. He ended his hard-fought battle with cancer peacefully, surrounded by family.
Dad was a wild adventurer with a big heart. He loved meeting new people and travelled extensively throughout his life. He was a skilled businessman and a pool player extraordinaire; he had a gift for making strangers into friends in a short period of time. He was born in Vantage, SK, and started his career in Regina where his adventurous life had him moving onto Calgary, Montreal, Mexico City before finally settling in Sooke.
Gordon is survived by his partner Heather Nuttall, his four children, Carol Rayburn (Gordon), Parnell Sebelius (Shelley), Justin Donaldson (Amie), Ian Sebelius and six grandchildren. He also leaves behind his loving siblings, Linda (Greg) Foreman, Myron Sebelius, Vernon Sebelius, Helen (Corky) Sebelius, Gene Sebelius, Lyndon Sebelius, Charene (Jack) Davis, and Eldon (Tracey) Sebelius, along with several beloved nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father, Everett Sebelius (1966) and mother, Albina Murchison (2014).
Dad always knew what he wanted, and he chose to have a "going away party" instead of a gathering after he was gone, so he could say goodbye. Hosted in Courtney by Charene & Jack, there were many, many stories, lots of laughter and of course tears as he gathered with the family that could attend and spoke with those who were not able to make the trip. The memories made will never be forgotten.
