In loving memory ~
Murray was born January 4, 1949, in Kelowna, B.C. He passed away June 22, 2022, at NRGH Palliative Care Ward.
Survived by his wife Laurel, sons Greg (wife LeDinh, grandson Noah and Everett) and Mark (wife Courtney and grandson Darrian).
Murray graduated from UBC in 1972 with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering. His pulp industry career of over 30 years (Port Melon, Prince George, and Prince Rupert) was followed by seven years as Area Manger, Capital Planning and Projects for Northern Health.
Murray was an active DeMolay and Freemason becoming Grand Master of BC and Yukon 2012/13. He enjoyed lodge travels, 'Dad Jokes', Blue Jays Games, calligraphy, lawn bowling, secretary duties, Maui vacations, etc. Most of all, he loved his kids. In December 2010 Murray and Laurel retired to Bowser.
A Celebration of Murrays Life will be held Friday July 29th at 2:00 PM at St. Stephens United Church, Qualicum Beach.
