Gordon Barry Pastula
February 8, 1946 - September 20, 2017
After a remarkable and eventful life of 71 years, Gordon (Gordie) passed away peacefully on September 20, 2017 at Victoria's Royal Jubilee Hospital.
Gordon was born on February 8,1946 at Duncan, BC and lived his life in the Cowichan Valley primarily on Richards Trail since the 1950s.
Gordon enjoyed operating equipment at Pastula Excavating, and farming vegetables at Pastula Farms where he became a renowned potato farmer.
Gordon will be remembered by his wife Catherine, and children Michael (Kristin), Christina (Clayton), Tony (Saira), and grandchildren Clare, Sophie, Amelia and Lucas.
He is also survived by extended family members Lisa (Ava and Griffin), Rhonda (Shai-lin), Melissa, William (Ryan), and Dan (Sarah and Josh).
Gordon was the only child of William (Bill) and Doreen Pastula, and he is now reunited with them.
A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family at the Duncan Eagles (2965 Boys Road) on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gordon's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
