Gloria Eleanor Davidson

With deep sorrow in our hearts, we announce the passing of Gloria Eleanor Davidson on November 5, 2017 at the age of 87 at her home in Nanaimo, BC.

Gloria was born in Nanaimo, BC on July 18, 1930 to Les and Lena Morgan. She was raised on her family’s property in East Wellington and worked as an operator for the British Columbia Telephone Company after finishing school.

She married her loving husband Arthur on February 1, 1950. After raising her four children, Gloria went on to work for the NanaimoGeneral Hospital until leaving due to ill health.

After retirement, Arthur and Gloria moved back to her family’s property to spend the latter years of their life together there.

Gloria loved Christmas. Her love of this holiday was clear in her beautiful and elaborate decorating. Everyone was always thrilled to visit her home during the holiday season.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 67 years, Arthur; her daughters, Colleen, Sharon (Mark), and her sons, Fred (Pauline) and Brent (Gord); grandchildren Matthew, Myles, Katie, Sarah, Pamela and Aimee; and great- grandchildren Rylan and Ella.

Survived by her brothers, Jerry (Marilyn), Wayne (Phyllis), Gloria joins her parents Les and Lena Morgan and her brothers, Ray and Darryl in eternity.

Gloria will be laid to rest at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Friday, November 10th at 2:00 pm.

Donations in the memory of Gloria can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
