Glenn Leroy Ecklin

October 29, 1926 – June 29, 2022
In loving memory ~
Dad, Uncle, Grandpa, Great Grandpa and Friend, peacefully passed away on June 29, 2022. Born October 29, 1926.
Glenn is survived by his children Lynn (Bob), Carol (Neil), Gary (Susan), Denise (Randy), Tom (Jackie) and David (Carla); his grandchildren Karen, Sean, Heather, Kolina, Corey, Brian, Stephen, Scott, Naomi, Kristy, Alex, Lindsay and Ben; great grandchildren John, Abigail and Cayden; and his siblings Sharon and Myron.
He was predeceased by his wife Alma; and siblings Wilfred, Lloyd, Albert, Norman and Annamae.
Glenn was a hard-working provider for his family. He could do any job that he set his mind to, which included teaching, accounting clerk, bread maker and pipefitter. He loved his ‘Ranch,’ with a large garden, fruit trees and grape vines. Glenn’s home was used as a gathering place for many family meals and events.
Children were his favourite, and many pictures show a baby sound asleep on his chest. His love of family was always evident, especially in the numerous car trips to the Prairies for family gatherings and celebrations.
Glenn was generous to people around him, near and far. He was funny, charming, and kind, with a knack for teasing and easily chatting with anyone he met.
He is missed by family and friends.
As he is taking his final nap, we say with love… “Later Dude!”
A special thank you to the staff at the Hamlets that gave great care and compassion to Dad during his stay there. Thank you to Dr. Ibrahim and VIHA for their care over the years.
