March 30, 1947 - December 6, 2019
Glen Bochek passed away December 6, 2019 at The Campbell River Hospital with his niece and close friend Pat by his side, after suffering from a terrible illness.
He is survived by his nieces Pat Neilson, Sharon Bach, two great nephews, James and William Skippen, two great nieces Suzanne Whiffen and Robin Overland and eight great, great grand nieces and nephews.
Glen was born in the small town of Climax, Saskatchewan on March 30, 1947. He lived most of his adult life in Ontario and Saskatchewan. After Maxine, his wife of 39 years passed, he decided to move to Campbell River which reminded him of Grimsby where he lived as a child, and again as an adult.
His was a proud member of the Canadian army and retired at the rank of Captain. He then worked at IBM for a number of years and in 1983 took over running the family Steel Fabricating company until he retired to care for his ailing wife.
Although Glen was a very private and sometimes quiet man, he was always there whenever anyone needed him, including strangers.
A memorial service is being held at Sutton's Campbell River Funeral Home at 502 South Dogwood Street on Thursday December 19, 2019 at 1 pm.
Please no flowers, however if you wish, you may make a donation to the SPCA in Glen's name.
