Some people's lives are too short and some are too long—Gerry's was just right for us. We, who she loved to hang out with, are 6 children, 16 grands, 17 great grands and 3 great great grands.
Most of our aunties were in fact Gerry's grade one classmates, a.k.a. "The Mystic Six". They celebrated friendship, birthdays, adventures and misadventures for 80 years. Gerry was the last to leave. So if you knew her— you might have been a Richmond Lion, a Gateway Garden neighbour, a fellow exerciser at Curves, or for the last five years, a resident at Berwick on the Lake.
Eight weeks back at her 100th party, she was dancing, singing, and working the microphone like a pro. If you spent one hour with Gerry— it was probably Happy Hour. Gerry is missed by all who knew her and loved her.
A celebration will be held later this fall.
