It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Jerry Kuster.
Dad was predeceased by his parents Rudolph & Dorothy, his wife Kathy, his brother Rich and his best friend and life partner Marion. Dad leaves behind his sons Jerry (Tanya), Richard (Dee), Kenneth (Sherri) his grandchildren Amanda, Shane, Hunter, Kristin & Sarah and his very special friend Lorraine.
Dad was born in SanFrancisco California. His mother moved he and his brother to Canada when he was 6 yrs old. Dad grew up in Fort Langley, BC where he later started working as a commercial fisherman on the Fraser River.
In 1960 Dad went to work for Canadian Forest Products Ltd, (Canfor) at Woss, BC. He started as a chokerman then as a Heavy Duty mechanic and on to Master Mechanic. Dad worked over 40 yrs at Canfor.
After retiring from Canfor, Dad worked part time as a Commercial Driver for Bailey Western Star (Campbell River) Dad had accumulated over 1000 trips (Truck moves) during his time there. Dad enjoyed living by the ocean, watching the endless changing scenery of marine traffic and beautiful wildlife.
Dad was a kind, generous and humorous person and made many lifelong friendships. "Dad, you will be missed!!!"
The family would like to thank Dr. Naicker, all the nurses, staff and home care workers that came into Dads life and helped him.
There will be no service, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation.
