Gerald (Jerry) Aten, 78, of Campbell River passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019. He was born & raised in Salmon Arm, BC.
Jerry attended UBC for several years and joined the dance club there, he sure knew how to work that dance floor. In 1966 he married Wilma Summerfelt (Piket) and a package of young children, Ron, Rick Summerfelt & Laurinda Rich. In 1969 they decided to have another child, Raymond Aten.
The children all have grown up and Jerry had the pleasure of having 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his son Ron (Judy), Rick (Karen), Ray (Jeanette), daughter Laurinda (Calvin), sisters Mary Rollier, Edwina (John) Kurta and sister in law Jeanne.
He is now resting along side his wife Wilma, his mother Edna Aten (Stoner), father Bruce and brother Bill, where he longed to be.
Jerry was one heck of a husband, stepfather, father, grandfather and brother.
He will be missed by everyone who he has touched in his life.
