1940-2020 ~ Gerry was born in Alberta but moved to B.C. at a young age, living in Prince George. He graduated from UBC in Chemistry and worked for INCO Research for 32 years in Ontario.
After retiring in 1995, he came back to B.C. settling in Sooke. He continued to learn in the over 20 years he volunteered for the Sooke Salmon Enhancement Society. He passed away on Aug. 12 after a long battle with MDS.
He will be missed by his wife of 56 years, Maureen (Wiley), Sons, Brian (Kristal) in Okanagan Falls, Michael (Suzan), and Granddaughters Lara and Alyssa in Boston.
The planned funeral will not be taking place because of Covid 19. Donations may be made in his name to the Sooke Salmon Enhancement Society.
