Born in Comox in 1948, Gerry was raised in Victoria and moved with his parents to Nanaimo in 1970. Gerry spent the bulk of his working years as a Handy Dart and Transit driver for the Nanaimo Regional District. Gerry was a loyal son to his parents.
He enjoyed rooting for the Blue Jays and he cherished his home near the shores of Hammond Bay. Gerry is survived by his brother Peter, sister-in-law Christine, nieces Raquel (Jason) and Renee (Sean), and their children Taylor, Madden, and Avery.
