Retired Lieutenant George White answered his last call during the evening of March 3, 2022.
George was born, raised and lived his full life in Nanaimo. In his life's journey he worked for Comox Logging, Meyers Holland and Nanaimo Fire Rescue. George was a character and entertainer at times leaving those around him filled with laughter. In his leisure time he enjoyed family, trapping, hunting, fishing and most of all helicopter flying.
George was predeceased by his loving wife Carol and his parents George and Violet White. He is survived by his son Kevin, brother Norman, nephew Doug, and forever friends Eric and Charlotte. George was staunch member of the Masons and Shriners.
As per his request, there will be no service. Donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in George's honour.
