September 17, 1948 - August 27, 2021
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Geoff Simmons on Friday, August 27th at West Coast General Hospital.
Geoff leaves behind his life partner of 34 years Kathy Fehr, son David and wife Emily their children Jack and Cole, son Ian and his children Harvey and William, their mother Rachel, his sister Margaret Paquet and her daughter Leah.
His father Denis and mother Mary Simmons and his brother- in-law John Paquet predeceased Geoff.
Geoff spent most of his working life in the grocery business. He was a man that had many interests including fishing, genealogy, woodworking, golfing, boating and traveling. He was a member of Power Squadron for many years and filled various positions.
Geoff was truly happy spending quality times with his family especially his grandchildren.
There will be no formal service as requested by Geoff.
In lieu of flowers donations to any one of the following groups would be greatly appreciated: Mid-Island Kidney Association, Diabetes Canada or Heart and Stroke.
