It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother Gene (Eugenia) Giudici on November 26, 2018 at Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria BC.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Giudici, son Ben and daughter-in-law Sheryl Giudici, grandchildren Steven Giudici, Christina Clarke (nee Giudici) and husband Brad; twin great granddaughters Taylor and Brooklyn Clarke, brother Piero Mambretti and family (Canada), brother Bruno Mambretti and family (Italy), brother-in-law Silvio Giudici and family (Italy), sister-in-law Luciana Giudici and family (Italy), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Gene was predeceased by her husband Steve, sisters Olga and Amelia, and her dear friend Helen. Mom was born and raised in Vervio, Sondrio (Italy) and immigrated to Canada in 1954 to marry Steve. They lived for many years in Nanaimo and Port Alberni, with Gene later moving to Victoria in 2016 to live with Mary.
Gene was a strong and caring woman who lovingly and selflessly supported family and friends, forging many deep and lasting relationships throughout her life. She has left a huge imprint in our lives and will be profoundly missed.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 301 Machleary Street, Nanaimo BC on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 1 pm with a Reception to follow in the Church Hall.
