With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gary Wayne Holt. Gary passed quickly at the age of 81 on September 1st in the Comox Valley Hospital.
Gary had been struggling with his health in the 6 months leading up to his death.
He passed surrounded by his devoted wife Jennifer, daughters Karen and Susan and stepdaughter Brandy. Gary is survived by his wife Jennifer, his first wife Alice of New Westminster, daughters Karen (Tim) Schmitz, Susan (Warren) Opheim, Graham, Lawrence, Brandi (Roy), James (Marilyn) and many grandchildren and extended family.
Gary was also predeceased by his parents Misty and Pinky.
Gary was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother to his extended church family. Gary loved travel and the outdoors and was a keen photographer most of his life.
Gary had a great sense of humour and loved to tease. The family wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to the doctors and nurses who cared for Gary especially nurse Clayton who was particularly compassionate and respectful.
You will be greatly missed by the many hearts you've touched. Rest in Peace Gary.
