In Loving Memory ~
It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Gary Foster, who lost his battle with COVID early February 25, 2022.
He is predeceased by his darling mom, Velda; stepfather, Al and grandparents, Cyril and Ethel.
Gary was a proud IWA Member and IBEW electrician, passionately supporting the rights of workers. Born on June 3, 1947 near Parksville, Gary lived all over the island, finally settling in Port Alberni, where he worked and retired.
Born to fishers, he loved the ocean and spent many years boating with his family. Visiting with his sisters in Parksville and his family in Kelowna were the highlights of his life.
Gary is survived, and sorely missed, by his life partner, Linda Baker; his beloved daughter, Kathleen (Sarah), his precious granddaughters, Charlotte and Georgia, his sisters, Dianne (Cliff), Linda (Brian), Sue (Gord); Uncle, Larry (Lucy), and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He cherished his best friend Bob, and his many friends at "The Office".
When we remember Gary, we hear his laugh.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
