In loving memory ~
Gary is at peace and free of pain after living a very full and happy life. He will be hugely missed by his wife of 56 years, Evelyn, his daughters, Norine and Karen, his grandsons, Nick and Jesse, all of Sooke, his siblings, Bruce, Don, John and Judy and many nieces and nephews.
Gary started catching salmon at a very young age and bought his first West Coast troller at age 20. He built several of his boats and enjoyed recreational fishing into his final year. He kept the freezers stocked with salmon and the veggies he produced in his excellent garden.
As per his wishes there will be no service.
He had a great love of the sea and his next journey will lead him where there are no rules and the fish are biting.
