Gary Charles LaCroix

In loving memory ~

Gary Charles LaCroix was born on December 6, 1943 and passed away on April 24th, 2025 at the age of 81. Gary served as an officer in the Naval Reserve to put himself through law school. Dad started his law firm Coleman LaCroix in 1972 with the late Michael Coleman and served a wide array of clients over 5 different decades with a common touch. Gary was a decorated and avid golfer and long time member at the Cowichan Golf and Country Club.

Dad was a magical person. He was a true gentleman, renowned for being humble, kind and gentle. He was quick to laugh and loved to cook and entertain. He was a talented singer and his sonorous tones could often be heard around the house. Dad doted on his three children and was very close with his sister Gail and brother in law Mike Willick. Gary was doted upon by his wife Glenda, who never left his side as he faced illness bravely and without complaint. He will be forever and terribly missed.

Dad is survived by his loving wife Glenda, his children Jill, Andrew and Jenny and his grandchildren Jacob, Jeremy, Thomas, Lauren, Scarlett and Benjamin as well as his daughter in law Janelle LaCroix and his stepson Aaron Richards, Aaron's wife Karen Cherneski and their children Arlo and Jake.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 8th at 3:00 p.m. at the Cowichan Golf and Country Club. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Cowichan Hospice House.
