July 28, 1923 - April 11, 2020
Gale Mah Poy of Nanimo B.C. passed away April 11, 2020 at the age of 96, after a life well lived. Gale was born in Ponoka, AB on July 28, 1923.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Evelyn (Stenback). Gale lived life to the fullest. He worked in the restaurant industry, a car dealership, drove a school bus, and worked in retail. He was also a projectionist in a movie theatre in Rocky Mountain House, AB where he met his wife Evelyn.
Gale was adventurous. He made a boat ramp jump which he loved to talk about. He worked for BC ferries for 20 years, working his way up the ranks to be a second steward. He loved the job as he enjoyed meeting all the guests and visiting with them. Fishing was a passion until recently. He loved his trips to the casinos and the trips to Hawaii where he enjoyed hobnobbing with the stars from Hawaii 5-0. Gale was still chopping work for his heating system for their residence. He was very proud of his huge stacks of wood.
Gale will be fondly remembered by his family of nieces, nephews, brother in laws, sister in laws and friends.
