Gail Paulette Swim, passed away peacefully with dignity and grace in Campbell River General Hospital on November 18, 2020 with her three children and husband by her side. Gail had just celebrated her 69th birthday on October 8.

She is survived by her husband, Murray Johnson, her children Loretta (Tyler), Amanda (Bengy) and Derek; grandchildren Kyla (Tyrel), Emma and Harley.
She is respected and adored by her 5 sisters, Bonnie (Doug), Cathie, Linda, Terry (Jim), Angela and her 3 brothers, Jeff (Holly), Randy (Jane) and Andrew (Angela). She is also loved and remembered by numerous family members on both coasts.
Gail left our world with love in her heart. She cherished her friendships, notably Ingrid and Lorna who helped carry her through some of her hardest days.
She will be remembered for her giving ways and her fiery passion for life. She loved the outdoors, a campfire and a good adventure - whether it was riding a Harley across the US or taking her quad through the back country of Vancouver Island.
She grew a vegetable garden at her beloved home along side the Campbell River Estuary. She made bread and baked the most beautifully decorated cakes for her beloved family and friends. She loved her country music, arts and crafts, knitting and sewing. A gift that was "Made by Gail" meant made with love.
By Gail's request there will be no formal service, however a celebration of life is planned for some time in 2021.
In lieu of donations or flowers, the family requests that you spend time with your loved ones, take a walk on the beach, or share a hug.
